QR Code Table Ordering for Restaurants, Pubs and Cafés
Guests scan the code on the table, choose from your menu and send the order from their own phone. The kitchen sees it at once, with the table it came from. Your staff spend less time taking orders and more time looking after guests.
No credit card required.
Why let guests order from the table?
Busy shifts with fewer hands
When you are short of staff, taking orders is the first job to slow down. Guests who order themselves do not wait for someone to come over.
Orders exactly as chosen
Options and notes reach the kitchen as the guest picked them. Nothing is misheard over the music or misread from a notepad.
The second round comes sooner
Another drink or a dessert is a few taps away, so guests order it when they want it, not when they catch someone’s eye.
Allergies are on the order
Guests can declare their allergies before ordering. Dishes that contain them are flagged in the basket, and the kitchen sees the allergies with the order.
How it works
The guest scans the code on the table
The phone camera opens your menu in the browser and knows which table it is. No app to download.
They choose and send the order
Dishes, options and a note, from the menu with photos and allergens, in the guest’s own language.
The kitchen sees it at once
The order appears on the live order screen in your panel, and a ticket can be printed for the kitchen or the bar.
You serve, and they pay as usual
The order goes to the table. Guests pay you at the table or the counter, the way they do today.

Pubs, cafés and busy terraces
Table ordering suits places where guests stay a while and order more than once: a pub table on a Friday night, a café terrace in summer, a hotel bar. Guests order the next round without queuing at the bar, and staff can stay on their feet where they are needed. For guests who would rather ask, nothing changes: staff take the order and enter it in the panel.
If you are not ready for ordering yet, start with the QR menu alone. Switch ordering on later and the codes on the tables stay the same.
Pick-up and delivery too
The same menu takes pick-up and delivery orders from your own link, with no commission per order. See online ordering. Allergen rules for your menu are covered on the allergen menu page.
Frequently asked questions
What is QR code table ordering?
Guests scan a QR code on their table, choose from the menu and send the order from their own phone. The order reaches the kitchen together with the table number.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. The phone camera reads the code, and the menu and basket open in the browser.
Do guests pay through the app?
No. Guests pay you at the table or the counter, as they do today. QRestAI does not take payments from your guests.
What if a guest does not want to use their phone?
Staff take the order as usual and enter it in the panel, so it reaches the kitchen the same way.
Can guests call a member of staff?
Yes. A button on the menu calls staff to the table, and the call shows in the panel.
Is there a commission on orders?
No. QRestAI is a monthly or yearly subscription; nothing is taken per order.
