How to Add Your Menu and Order Link to Google Business Profile
Last updated: · 3 min read
The short answer
Open your Business Profile, choose Edit profile, then Business information, Contact and Menu link, paste the address of your menu and save. For ordering, open Food Ordering, add your own ordering link and mark it as preferred. Google changes these screens now and then, so if a label has moved, Google's help pages linked at the end have the current path.
Why it matters
Many guests meet your restaurant on Google Search or Maps before anywhere else. They look at the photos, the reviews and the opening hours, and then they look for the menu. If the menu link is missing, Google may show an old photo of a menu, or nothing at all. If the ordering button leads to a delivery marketplace, every order through it can cost you a commission.
Two links fix both: one to your menu, one to your own ordering page.
Add your menu link
- Sign in with the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
- Find your profile on Google Search (search for your restaurant's name) or open it in Google Maps.
- Choose Edit profile.
- Go to Business information, then Contact.
- In Menu link, paste the address of your online menu.
- Choose Save.
Use the address of the menu itself, not of a PDF that changes every season. A menu page that you update from a panel always shows current dishes and prices, and the link on Google never has to change.
Add your own ordering link
- Open your profile on Google Search or Maps.
- Go to Food Ordering (on Maps, choose Edit profile first).
- Add a custom ordering link: the address of the page where guests order from you directly, for pick-up or delivery.
- If your profile also lists delivery marketplaces, set your own link as the preferred option.
- Save.
Marketplace links usually appear because a marketplace added them. If you no longer want one listed, Google's help page explains how to ask the provider to remove it.
A few tips
- Check on a phone. Search for your restaurant on a phone after saving and tap the menu and order buttons, as a guest would.
- One menu address everywhere. Use the same menu address on Google, on your website, on social media and in the QR codes on your tables.
- Keep opening hours right. A guest who orders for pick-up at a time you are closed will not come back.
- Answer reviews. A short, polite reply to reviews, good and bad, is part of what a guest reads before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I add a menu link on Google Business Profile?
In your Business Profile, choose Edit profile, then Business information, Contact and Menu link. Paste the address of your menu and save.
Can I add my own online ordering link to Google?
Yes. Under Food Ordering you can add a custom ordering link to your own ordering page and set it as the preferred option.
Why does a delivery marketplace appear on my Google profile?
Marketplaces can add their own ordering links. You can set your own link as preferred, and Google explains how to ask a provider to remove theirs.
Should I link a PDF of my menu?
It works, but a PDF has to be replaced every time the menu changes and is hard to read on a phone. A menu page you update from a panel keeps the Google link current.
